THE WASTED DAY is set in our age with its code of pornographic love. Illuminated by a black light the hero disembarks from a stone built boat, the KAASEBERGA, into a limbo of ritualistic & barbaric sexual encounters accompanied by two muses from the footnotes of literature. Hoping to help him meet his fate in this directed aimlessness the narrator also joins in when all else fails.

Part of the ANGEL section is taken from an actual incident in a museum in Vienna. One evening I was walking alone along an empty corridor when a pretty little girl appeared in front of an alcove & disappeared into it. I continued down & in the alcove hung the Velasquez portrait of the Infanta Margarita. The child was back on the painting.

All this happened at the count of nine going up the escalator at the Angel tube station. Try it.
